Seelonce

Seelonce started in 2021 with an eponymous EP published by Acre Alley, a label based in Nova Scotia. The band includes members Philippe Blouin (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Julien Simard (bass, synths) and Maxime Boucher (drums, percussion). The distinctive tone of Seelonce, a word used in naval language to request silence on radio frequencies, blends rhythmic and musical simplicity and complexity in a unique way, straddling folk, pop and psych-rock sounds from different eras.
